A Past From a Present

These photos are in my photography gallery. Kind of nostalgic. It's like an old photograph of the present.

This photo is taken somewhere in Davao del Norte, Philippines. It became a past to us because this land was ours. But we have to give it up because it is very far from our home. This landscape had a vast rice field. Now, cavendish bananas is the source of income here.

This photo was taken by a bored person during lunch time. We had a seminar, and of course, having a break time with nothing to do will give you ideas to get out of boredom. And here it is! Two pairs of shoes.

The "El Salvador del Mundo Church". One of the oldest church here in Mindanao. Built in 1800's.

One of the ancestral homes in Camiguin, Philippines. A preserved ancestral heritage.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Happy blogging bloggers!

Camiguin (Island Born of Fire)

Camiguin is called "Born of Fire". Located in the Northern Mindanao, Philippines. It was created by volcanic eruptions and land movements. It is a small island with lots of natural resources. There are hot and cold springs, waterfalls, mountains and beaches. I like here because they have a simple living and peaceful atmosphere for the residents.

The famous Katibawasan Falls.

Sunken Cemetery. The large white cross is very historical. A cemetery was gone because of the eruption of Old Vulcan Daan in 1871. Very nice place especially during sunset.

White Island. Well, literally, it is white because of its sand. It changes its shape and size with the season. No trees, no shade.
But its worth coming for!

The place is very beautiful! You'll never regret staying in Camiguin!

Hello Caraga!

Its been a while since my last blog. I'm so happy because I didn't expect that my Pagerank is 2! For how many years, I waited for this! hehehe

I would like to share my trip to Caraga. The hometown of my boyfriend. We went there with my family for some business reasons. Anyways, I love the place! Located somewhere in Davao Oriental. But these photos are taken somewhere in Mati.

This is called "Sleeping Dinosaur Island". Very amazing because it looks like a sleeping dinosaur!

Coastal road going to Mati.

For the first time! Got a picture that has a reflection of the sky! hehehe

This is Caraga coast. I didn't swim.. Know why? I'm afraid! It's facing Pacific Ocean!

See? Facing the Pacific! The waves are calm. But the idea that its facing a vast ocean, I'm scared!

It's time to go back to the house where we stayed. Getting darker... and also getting the most out of the sunset!

Well, till next blogging moment! Hope you like the photos!

Child at Play

I'm back! It's been a while. Got this pictures and remembered how to be a child again.
Got this picture when I was on vacation in Davao Oriental. I was so amazed how creative the child. They are poor and away from the city. And yet he got a toy dump truck that is made of wood!
This picture was taken last Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 at Malagos Garden Resort when we had a Seminar about Farming.
And of course, these are my collections. These are small stuffed toys that my friends gave me. And I love them!

Hope you guys have also collections from your childhood. :]

Beachscape... Maxima Aqua Fun...

We often want a place to relax. Feel the heat of the sun. Feel the air brushing our skin. We sometimes want to escape from the busy city we live in. And so here some of the beaches in Island Garden City of Samal. Its a 15-30 minutes boat ride from Davao City.

The Maxima Aqua Fun. There are swimming, kayaking, fishing and snorkeling. Enjoy the giant slide that gets you dive to the abyss. But don't worry, there are lifeguards around to keep you safe.

Next is the sunset that shadows the shore... The tranquility of the sea really soothes your senses. Big help to recharge from a stressful career life. hehe

The boat that you see in this picture is the one for island hopping. Didn't have a chance for this island hopping adventure because there is reservation beforehand.

Summer is almost over. Hope you can have your get away too!
